Transcultural

The Transcultural Mental Health Service has two teams that provide culturally appropriate mental health services to adults and young people. Both the Maori Mental Health Team and the Health Pasifika team operate in Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti. The teams are based in Porirua and are active in consultation with local Iwi and cultural groups.

The Maori MHS also provides in-service training, policy and research around Maori issues for the Mental Health Service Directorate.
