Clinical Governance Role

The Mental Health Services Quality and Safety Council guides, directs and monitors the progress and activities of C&CDHB mental health services. The Council promotes the C&CDHB vision of better health and independence for people families and communities. The focus of the Council pertains to matters of improving quality and increasing safety in mental health. To this end the Council is oriented toward driving the development of service improvement and monitoring clinical system performance with proactive attention to indicators of system stress.

Scope

The Council spans both Local Mental Health Group and Te Korowai-Whāriki.

Membership

Quality Manager (Chair), Clinical Director, Operations Director, HR Advisor, Clinical Leaders, Nurse Leader, Professional Advisors, Consumer Advisors, Operations Managers, Learning & Development Consultant

Meetings

The Council meets monthly on the second Thursday. At each meeting the Chair will determine if the attending members constitute an adequate representation of CCDHB Mental Health Services.
